Kitchen Playlist Series

November 13, 2014 by theunmanlychef

Death Cab for Cutie

Music is something I thoroughly enjoy, but let me preface this by saying that I am not musically inclined. I can’t play an instrument, carry a tune, or do much of anything regarding music.

I feel that a particular song or group can instantly remind you of a time in your life when something important happened to you. If you hear a song from a certain era, it will most likely take you back to that time in your mind. It always does for me. What I love to do now is to play music in the kitchen while I cook or do the dishes. It helps pass the time and it adds another dimension to the cooking experience.

With all that being said, I’m starting a kitchen playlist series where every week I pick five songs that are some of my favorite songs to listen to while I’m in the kitchen. I typically listen to Alternative or Indie Rock but that doesn’t prevent me from listening to a wide range of songs. I tend to stay away from your typical pop or country songs, BUT that doesn’t mean I’m against it, I just don’t really prefer it. But who doesn’t love a little T-swift every now and then? AM I RIGHT?!

You can find all of these songs on Spotify or iTunes. The links below will send you to the tracks on Spotify.

Kitchen Playlist

1- Prince- I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man

2- Coconut Records- West Coast

3- Mason Jennings- Jackson Square

4- The Kinks- Waterloo Sunset

5- Digitalism- Wolves

Enjoy!
