Breakfasts don’t get much more delicious than this. It was summer time and I was vacationing in Long Island Sound. I found myself in a beautiful house with a great view. To repay my wonderful host, I decided to make some breakfast for everyone.
Egg in toast is a dish I never really experienced until I met my fiancee. Evidently this is a pretty popular dish. So when I first got to try this I was blown away by the deliciousness. It’s the perfect mix of savory and crunchy.
I decided to up the game a little by incorporating some bacon and cheese.
Enjoy!
Recipe
Ingredients
1 Egg
1 Piece of Bread
1/4 Cup of Cheddar Cheese
2 Strips of Bacon
1 Tbsp. of Butter
Method
Cut a circular hole into your bread. Crack an egg into a small bowl. Heat the butter in the pan. As the butter begins to foam, add your bread (minus the middle). Now pour your egg into the hole. As it cooks, add the cheese and bacon. Add the bread round that’s been cut out and place it over the egg. Once the egg is structurally sound, you can attempt to flip the toast. Cook for another 30 seconds.
