Gingerbread Houses

December 23, 2014 by theunmanlychef

Gingerbread House

Gingerbread Houses. The idea of making a arts and crafts item out of food I feel is something completely alien to eastern cultures. “Oh that food? We use that to make decorations. We certainly don’t eat it!”

It all reminds me of that Jim Gaffigan bit where he talks about appetizers and desserts, “Oh that’s the dinner we eat before dinner. Oh that’s the meal we eat after dinner.”

Anyways, gingerbread houses do look cute during Christmas time though. I unfortunately suck at making them. But my lovely bride to be, has the dexterity and attention detail required to build a top notch gingerbread house.

I always just want to eat the house itself with the icing, but that’s why I’m not in charge for building these houses. Also I have no patience for this and I just walk way in frustration.

In fact, while this was being built I was watching my favorite football team crap the bed and disappoint me like they do every year.

Merry Christmas everyone!
