Salted Caramel Apple Pie Bars from Sally’s Baking Addiction

February 13, 2015 by theunmanlychef

Apple Strusel REVISED

This was made by a guest of mine who used Sally’s Baking Addiction for the recipe. These were quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

Who doesn’t love apple pie? It’s literally the most American thing in the world. So why not step it up a notch with apple pie BARS!! I love all dessert bars.

Fun fact, apple pie was one of the desserts fairly common in my household despite my parents being immigrants.

My guest followed the recipe to a T and they turned out PERFECTLY. Everything about this dish works, the crust is perfect, the streusel is unreal. Sally’s Baking Addiction seems to be the place to go for some awesome recipes for baked goods. As you know, I don’t often post or make baked goods. Primarily because I can’t follow directions well, and if you can’t follow directions well when you bake you get what my fiancee calls, “Wet Brick.”

The only thing I take credit for are these photos.

My guest who made these said that they were a synch to make and that it took really no effort, that’s great because these are the best apple pie anything I’ve ever had.

Make these now people. Right. Now.

Go here for the recipe.

If I had to review this I would give it an A+++
