Iron Age – Korean BBQ in Rockville

Korean BBQ by itself is probably one of my favorite foods. Now add a never ending option to that, and I’m basically in heaven.

That’s what Iron Age: Asian Grill delivers. It’s a high quality Korean BBQ restaurant that allows you to pay a flat rate for never-ending meat. It’s basically the best thing ever invented. Also. Probably the most dangerous. Like literally you won’t be able to move after you’re done if you eat like me.

Iron Age is located in Rockville, MD on Rockville Pike. Iron Age delivers at every level, the ingredients are solid, the service is good, and they use their space wisely.

Basically the way it works at Iron Age is you walk in, get your table and then you pick from a menu. There’s the A menu or B menu. The only difference is the price and varieties of meat offered on the menu. Obviously I went with the more expensive option for my visit because, I must try all the meats! It’s 25 dollars for all you can eat Korean BBQ, well worth it.

Basically everything we tried was great, the spicy pork belly served is a larger cut than what I’m typically used to. We then ordered the hanger steak, also great, but lacked some seasoning. We then went with the Octopus, which I had never tried before at Korean BBQ joint. It tasted like a meatier mushroom is the best to describe it, it was really tasty, they covered in a spicy pork BBQ sauce and it was great. After that, the Iron Age steak which I really couldn’t put my finger on what cut of beef it was. Didn’t matter, it was great. We finished with another serving of Pork Belly. Yeah we ate a lot folks.

Overall Iron Age delivers exactly what you want, it’s really like any other Korean BBQ joint, except for the fact that it’s never-ending. Which for me is a good thing.

The quality of the food is on par with any other solid Korean BBQ place in Howard County. Would I go here all the time? No. Only because I wouldn’t be able to control myself. Iron Age is a place that you must go visit.
