Carnivore Club

When you have the chance to review a box of cured meats you don’t turn that down. Cured meats are probably one of my favorite things on this planet and a box that delivers premium cured meats every month sounds too good to be true.

But that’s basically what Carnivore Club does. Carnivore Club is a meat of the month club that is subscription based, the company started in 2012 and has built a successful following in Canada.

The shipment comes in a substantial package that requires no refrigeration up until you receive your box/open the meats. Inside you get 4 kinds of cured meats that vary each month depending on what the theme is during that particular month. This month was Spanish cured meats and they were really good. I kind of look at Carnivore Club like a quick weeknight dinner subscription service. To me there is nothing better than cutting a few pieces of cured meats, some high quality cheese, and some crackers. I literally did that like 4 times this past week because of this box. The membership costs 50 dollars per month, which is reasonable if you think about what you are getting. Good charcuterie typically runs 6-10 dollars (depending on what you get) at the grocery store. Carnivore Club takes all of the thought out of the process for you. All you have to do is bring the cheese and crackers.

The quality of the product is very good, in my box I received two kinds of Chorizo (Spanish & Spicy), Iberico Ham, and Serrano Ham. Each kind was a substantial portion that if was more than enough for two people. The two blocks of chorizo were good sized portions that are perfect if you are having guests over and you want to serve a simple snack.

I chopped up the chorizo and made a quick quesadilla, it was divine. Carnivore Club is a great Father’s Day Gift or just a everyday gift, if someone gave this to me for a YEAR?  I’d be over the moon. This beats any sort of lame gift you could get like socks, books, ties, or anything else.

If you’re hung up on the price think about it this way, each month you probably spend at least 20 dollars a week eating out or drinking out. Wouldn’t you rather get a box of tasty cured meats instead of lame drinks or boring subs for lunch? You can literally turn this box into multiple meals.

If you’re interested in joining this great subscription service, you can use the code: UNMANLY to get a discount on your first order.
