Clif Bar Review

June 30, 2015 by theunmanlychef

As far as health bars go, Clif, pretty much rules the roost. They have the best consistency amongst their products and they typically can create some imaginative flavors without putting devil’s tears in their bars.

Their Builder’s Bars are Clif’s foray into the protein bar world, and for the most part Clif does a good job delivering a satisfying product.

I reviewed their Mint Chocolate flavor and that probably is still the best flavor they have, but their Crunchy Peanut Butter flavor has quickly moved into a must have for my snacks.

The flavor of this is a smooth and sweet peanut flavor that hits your mouth as soon as you bite in. The bar has a nice chewy crunchy consistency that creates a really satisfying experience. Lots of protein bars can have that chalky after taste or just taste like something entirely inedible, this is the opposite of that. After eating this you feel like you ate a candy bar, but in actuality you just got 20 grams of protein.

I highly recommend buying this the next time you are at the grocery store, they run about a 1.49 a piece and are typically found in the health food section.
