One of my favorite “Chinese” food dishes is sesame chicken, because who doesn’t love deep fried chicken covered a sweet sauce? Uh nobody, that’s who.
These are insanely easy to make and are pretty much guilt free. When I was a kid I would sneak down in the middle of the night just to get a crack at the Chinese food leftovers especially the sesame chicken before my brother could. Well now I don’t have to wake up in the middle of the night to get my hands on these, I can get them any time I want!
Recipe – Honey Sesame Chicken Wings
Ingredients
1 Package of Chicken Wings (about 1 pound)
2 Tbsp. Baking Powder
1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
1/4 Cup Hoisin Sauce
1/4 Cup Honey
Method
Coat the chicken wings in baking powder, make sure you pat them dry before you coat them.
Place the wings on a grease broiler pan.
Cook at a low heat of 300F for 40-50 Minutes.
Once the wings are nice and crispy, blast them at 400F for another 10 minutes to get a nice golden brown crust.
Meanwhile, heat the honey in a pot and bring it to a boil (this will happen fast). Then add your hoisin sauce. Simmer.
Remove the wings, put them in a mixing bowl, and then coat with the sauce. Top with some sesame seeds and enjoy!
