Nestled in Northern Maryland is a garden oasis that demands your attention. Ladew Topiary Gardens is a 75 acre paradise that was created by Harvey S. Ladew II, a rich socialite who was an avid fan of gardens and fox hunting bought the grounds in 1929. But enough about this rich guy who died alone, and more about his amazing garden!
This place is unreal, I think part of the shock value comes from that fact that it’s literally on the side of a country rode in Harford County. As soon as you step on the grounds, you can’t believe that you’re still in Maryland. Instead, you think that you’ve been transported to Newport where rich tycoons built their mansion estates in the early 20th century.
Ladew Topiary Gardens is an easy visit and a cheap date. With entrance fees under twenty dollars, there’s no real reason not to visit this place. For more information, visit Ladew Gardens Website.
I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the convincing.
