Blondie Bar

February 5, 2018 by theunmanlychef

Today is probably a dark day for some of you depending on what side of the Super Bowl spectrum you stand. Either way dessert cures all woes.

Sometimes in life you set out to make blondies and you end up making brondies. But I need content so I’m not gonna shy away from a little baking misstep. Because who’s perfect amongst us?

I don’t have a fun story or good quote for you on these, basically I wanted to make blondies, I clearly added too much chocolate and ended up with brondies. I wont call them Brownies. I WONT DO IT! I changed the recipe for you to reduce the amount of chocolate, so that should do the trick. But let’s be real, if they turn out like this are you really going to be that mad at me anyways?

Fly Eagles Fly.

Recipe – Brondie Bars

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup light brown sugar
2  tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/2 Cup of Chocolate Chips

Method

Step 1- Preheat your oven to 350

Step 2- Line a 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper and then set aside.

Step 3- Brown your butter in a saucepan, be careful not to burn the butter. Once the butter turns golden brown and has an almost floral aroma you should remove it.

Step 4- Pour the butter into a bowl, then add your sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir.

Step 5- Add flour and mix until it’s mixed through and then fold in your chocolate chips.

Step 6- Put the mixture into the pan and bake for 20 minutes until it passes the toothpick test.

Step 7 – Allow to cool for about 10 minutes on the counter and enjoy!
